We are a family business, comprising of brothers Solomon Reader and Gavin Reader. Between the partnership, we blend the right combination of entrepreneurialism, level-headedness and business acumen to give an opportunistic yet balanced approach to our decision-making. Like any great team, we are happy to challenge each other when required, and have learnt to always be open to the advice of others – two heads are always better than one.
Our interest and experience in property development increased naturally as we each became more involved in the business and contributed to the natural evolvement of our family business, including the sale of the multi-million pound Spectrum development site in Douglas, Isle of Man. We started to actively seek opportunities where we were able to redevelop the potential of prime space, either for our own operations or for locations for lease. We’re sure that we’ve made mistakes and learnt just as much as the next man along the way, but we have grown into confident and experienced operators in dealing with large-scale property development, from sourcing, to design, to funding to build, and have proven worth in managing this process at every step of the way.
Our roots in property development run deep, with a long family history of development and asset management of coastal leisure and amusement operations. All of us were closely involved in the business from a young age and we gained early exposure to maximising property space for efficiency and output; from a waxwork museum on the Isle of Man to a fish and chip restaurant in Morecambe – we’ve done them all!
Our aim is simple. We seek to improve space.
Not just for profit, but in a way that can benefit communities as a whole. We have been brought up with valuable memories of families on holidays and locals enjoying a sliver of sun on their face at the seaside. It is these values that drive our business forward, and ensure that we keep the end user in mind for all of our projects. If we can design and develop a space that meets the needs of community individuals then we will, in turn, meet the needs of local businesses and our project stakeholders.
We strive to achieve our key values of deliverability, proactiveness and communication in all of our projects. We believe these three, core pillars keep our business connected with our stakeholders at every stage of each development.
